Welcome to our frequently asked questions page! We understand you may have questions about our coffee subscription service and direct orders, so we've compiled a list of the most commonly asked questions to you out. If don't see your question answered here please don't hesitate to contact us and we'll happy to assist you.

How long does it take to receive my coffee?For direct order or first time orders, we generally ship your coffee within 24-72 hours. For coffee subscriptions, we typically ship your coffee within 24-48 hours of renewal on the first of the month. We also don't ship out on Sundays or Mondays, so keep that in mind when ordering.

Can I pick up my order in person instead of paying for shipping?Yes! We love when people stop by the bus. In-store pickup is an order option on the checkout page when you choose shipping speed. Note that you will be subject to Maryland sales tax if you choose to pick up from the bus.

Cafe, City, City+: What's the Deal?We know it's confusing! The problem with light/medium/dark roasts is that they mean different things to different people, both roasters and customers! Cafe, City, and City+ are standardized terms that refer to the exact strength of the roast. It means that when you order a City roast, you know what to expect. Even our darkest roasts are much lighter than some of "the big guys" and we want to provide you with coffee that's consistent and reliable. What is a coffee subscription?A coffee subscription is a service that delivers fresh coffee to your doorstep on a regular basis. Our coffee subscription bills on the first of every month and ships out a few days later. There are options for our single-origin coffee or any of our blends. Your initial purchase will be applied to the next calendar month's subscription, and all future subscriptions will bill on the 1st of the month.

Can I change the frequency or type of coffee in my subscription?We offer all of our coffee subscriptions monthly for now! We eventually plan on moving towards more options (weekly, bimonthly etc) but we're a small, family-owned business who is starting this for the first time. You should be able to change the amount of coffee in your subscription by going into your account. If you have any trouble, reach out to us on the contact forms below and we'll have someone get in touch with you.

What are the options for buying individual bags of coffee?For our direct order coffee, go to the shop page and choose which type of coffee you would like to order. From there, you choose your roast strength: cafe (light), city (medium), and city+ (dark). You'll also be given the option to choose either a one-pound bag or the 3.5 ounce sample bag. Add the order to your cart and feel free to keep looking around the website or check out from there! If you have any trouble, feel free to contact us.

What is the Coffee Flight Sample Box?We offer a coffee flight made up of four smaller coffee bags. Each bag is 3.5 ounces (perfect for one pot of coffee) and allows you to sample fresh coffee from each of the three major coffee growing regions (South and Central America, Africa, and Asia Pacific). For your fourth bag, you can pick either the decaf blend, the espresso blend or the house blend. The box is designed to give you a taste of our coffee selections without having to buy full pounds of each.
